The Kenora OPP detachment have confirmed the death of a missing Grassy Narrows man.
21-year-old Mekhi Pelly Scott was reported missing on October 26th to Kenora OPP, he was last seen between October 10th and 12th.
A 24-year-old Kenora man has been arrested and charged with indignity to a dead body.
Search efforts continue to locate his remains. The Kenora OPP Crime Unit is continuing the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch. Assistance is being provided by the OPP Canine Unit, the Emergency Response Team and the Underwater Search and Recovery Unit. The Treaty Three Police Service, the Kenora Makwa Patrol and community members are also assisting with the search.
