Nomination day took place on Tuesday Night at the CDC Building on Wauzhushk Onigum in preparation of Election Day on December 18th.
109 voting membership of Wauzhushk Onigum Nation were present during last night’s nominations.
A total of 12 nominations were accepted with 3 candidates for the (1) One Chief spot and 9 candidates accepted for the (3) three councillor spots.
Incumbent Chief Chris Skead has accepted his nomination for re-election meanwhile Incumbent Councillors Ed Skied and Donald Big George have accepted their nominations for re-election.
Current Councillor Marion Prince will not seek re-election.
Election Day will take place from 8:00am-8:00pm
