Attention non-treaty 3 member contractors, fisherman/fisherwoman and non-members of Wauzhushk Onigum First Nation and neighbouring Treaty 3 communities that are using the ice roads, since being declared open by the Boucha’s, ice road permits are required for all vehicles entering and exiting the Wauzhushk Onigum ice road landing.
Permits can be purchased at the Wauzhushk Onigum Nation Administration office Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm (lunch from 12-1pm office may be closed). $100 for personal permits and $300 for contractors for the season. (April 2026 or when the ice roads close) If you have questions or concerns, please call 807-548-5663. If you are from a Treaty 3 First Nation Community, then you are not subject to these permits.
Please check with event organizers if you are attending an event being held by the nation or a program on behalf of the nation, as permits may not be required for the specific event or you may receive day passes. Permits are NOT Required for Band and Community Members of Wauzhushk Onigum First Nation or for WON Walleye Series participants.
