Mt Evergreen Ski Hill representatives have shutdown the ski hill for the entire weekend due to the extreme cold temperatures.
The decision was made to close all operations due to the safety of staff and members as well as to protect the ski lifts due to their age.
Environment Canada has issued a orange cold warning for our region with wind chill values ranging from -35 to -50 during the day and overnights.
Mt. Evergreen will plan to reopen next weekend.
