A 21-year-old Kenora Man is facing firearm charges after he was arrested with an illegal firearm by Kenora OPP.
Kenora OPP say on February 4th, 2026, shortly after 9:00 p.m., members of the Kenora OPP attended a call for service involving a suspect with a firearm in the area of Cambrian Drive in the City of Kenora. Police located the male with a loaded firearm, and after a short foot pursuit, he was taken into custody.
Charges laid include:
· Fail to comply with probation order x2
· Failure to comply with release order
· Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
· Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or Ammunition
· Carrying concealed weapon
· Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
· Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
· Obstruct Peace Officer
He was scheduled in Court Thursday.
