April 1st has passed and that means Ontario’s fire season has officially started.
It runs every year from April 1st to October 31st, with the MNRF monitoring fire dangers, restricted fire zones and safety rules especially in the Northwestern Ontario area.
Reminder that no daytime burning is allowed, and fires must be lit 2 hours before sunset and extinguished 2 hours after sunrise.
