A prominent indigenous music festival in Northwestern Ontario is almost sold out after announcing its lineup today. (Friday, April 17th, 2026)
The 7th Annual Wake the Giant Festival will be hosting Flo Rida, The Wallflowers, Plain White T’s, Tia Wood, Shawnee Kish, Sebastian Gaskin and Lov at the Thunder Bay Waterfront in Thunder Bay, Ontario on September 12th, 2026.
Organizers says that this is not just a festival but a student focused, cultural awareness project and movement. The festival which started in 2019 was created to help communities recognize racism, celebrate indigenous culture and support indigenous youth transitioning into city life from remote first nations in Northern Ontario attending Dennis Frankly Cromarty High School according to the festival’s website.
