Four people have been arrested and charged after a search warrant was executed on Wednesday, April 22 at a local residence after a drug trafficking investigation.

Kenora OPP says that “In April 2026, officers from the OPP Kenora Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) began investigating a residence in Kenora which was suspected of being involved in drug-related activities.”

Fentanyl and Canadian currency were among items seized with a total estimated value of $8,000.

A 32 year old from Wabaseemong, a 33 year old from Kenora were charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl

45 year old from Kenora was charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – under $5000

and a 28 year old from Brampton was charged with:

  • Failure to comply with release order
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – under $5000

All four will have court dates with Kenora court at a later date.
