The Lake of the Woods Hospital Foundation has announced that Lana Tuesday from Morson has won the April 50/50 Draw worth $25,755.
The LWDHF also stated that this is the biggest jackpot of 2026 so far.
“It absolutely pays to buy early in the month,” said Mira Trebilcock, Executive Director, Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation. “Not only are you guaranteeing yourself a spot in the Jackpot Draw to win thousands like Lana, but you also have additional chances to win our extra cash prizes throughout the month.”
Tickets are now on sale for the May draw with the following early bird prizes:
- $1,000 Early Bird Draw (May 8)
- 2 x $500 Bonus Draws (May 15)
- $1,000 Early Bird Draw (May 22)
- And the Grand Prize Jackpot Draw (May 29). Take home prize is 50% of sales
The LWDHF 50/50 is a monthly charitable lottery that raises funds to support healthcare at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital.
Starting this month, proceeds will support enhancements in the Nutrition and Food Services Department at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital, including a new Rational Oven. In the past year, the Department served 64,922 patient meals, along with providing food for a busy cafeteria, and internal catering for the Hospital. The addition of Rational Oven will greatly enhance the service provided as this equipment is equipped with an intelligent cooking assistant that continuously and independently monitors the cooking process; a huge help to the two cooks!

Tickets can be purchased by anyone 18 years or older in Ontario. Grand Prize Draws are 50% of sales and are awarded each month. Tickets purchased prior to the deadline for each draw, including Early Birds, are eligible for all subsequent draws that month.
