Local O+M Road Crews on Wauzhushk Onigum Nation are continuing with ditching work on the community to improve our roads for the future.

Robert Skead, Head of the O+M Department said to 101.3 The Gap that the ditching work is being done to allow the roads to dry quicker for better grating in the summertime, this project will also allow for widening corners to see better around. We’re asking vehicles to slow down for equipment and please don’t drive by them fast, please be safe on our roads!

This will allow for residents to move around better and have better water run off throughout the warmer months.

This will be continuing on our main roads of Wauzhushk Onigum for the next 3-4 weeks. Please slow down when machines are on the road. Once roadwork is done, budgets will be reviewed and residential roads will be next if there is enough budget.
