Were you awaken this morning by an alarm on your phone?
A Tornado Warning was issued around 3:22am CT on Wednesday June 10th, 2026 effective for about 40 minutes after active weather and storm cells in the prairies moved into Northwestern Ontario that had degrees of rotations associated with them.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Jeff Coulson states that there were no reports of tornados or power outages from the mornings alerts but there were presenting factors in the storm that triggered that warning for the general area. The specific area effected was around Redditt and Minaki.
Coulson says that we remain under similar conditions around the Lake of the Woods area for Wednesday night, potential for storms to produce damaging winds, large hail, and it could lead to producing tornados.
