Kenora Chiefs Advisory has announced that their Healing Your Spirit Powwow will not go ahead in 2026 as the committee takes a year off from planning.
In a statement on Facebook, Kenora Chiefs Advisory stated “This powwow came about 7 years ago through the vision of our cultural team and support of the Chiefs to honour the ongoing healing of Residential School Survivors and their families.”
The pause is to reflect on KCA’s purpose and for how far they’ve come in hosting everyone and their families over the past 7 years.
They are focused on returning in 2027. The 2025 powwow took place in September.
