Wauzhushk Onigum Nation is excited to announce that construction of our new Land-Based Center is set to start this month! Construction will begin mid-August and is expected to be completed fall 2027, on Skead Lane.
Construction is undertaken by Jarnel Contracting, and designed by TBTE Engineering.
Anishinaabe Izhitiwaawiin, our Land-Based Center will include; an indoor classroom, a kitchen area, a large storage garage, outdoor fenced compound, and most importantly, land-based learning tools and vehicles.
