The North American First Nation Hockey Tournament will now start on Friday this year due to a few teams bowing out last minute.

The Rat Portage Braves Open Division Team faces the Shoal Lake Flyers on Friday at 3:15pm at the Moncrief Construction Sport Centre

The Rat Portage Braves Old Timers Team faces Crow Lake Hawks Friday at 9am at the Moncrief Construction Sports Centre

The Rat Portage Bravettes will face off against the Shoal Lake Flyers Friday at 2pm in Keewatin at the Memorial Arena

Results will determine each teams next game in the tournament!

The North American First Nation Hockey Tournament of Champions will be taking over both the Moncrief Construction Sport Centre and the Keewatin Memorial Arena over the easter weekend as teams from First Nation’s communities compete in the annual hockey tournament.

24 teams over 3 divisions will be participating. Open Division Championship prize is $30,000 while the Old Timers and Ladies division championship prizes are $10,000. Due to some teams withdrawing from the tournament, organizers have announced that the tournament will now start on Friday.

Schedules will be posted soon while admission prices have been announced.

Weekend passes start at $30 for children (Ages 4-12), $40 for Teen (13-17) and Senior (55+) and $50 for adults. Single game admission is also available.
