A 38 year old Kenora Resident was charged Friday Morning (Jan 16th) around 10:30am after Kenora OPP officers conducted a traffic stop on Fifth Avenue South in the City of Kenora in the Lakeside neighbourhood. This was prompted after the driver failed to yield to traffic nearly causing a collision.
The driver was charged with Driving a Motor Vehicle with No License, Fail to Yield to traffic on through highway, operation while impaired – alcohol and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80mg plus.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in Kenora court February 23rd, 2026.
The OPP reminds you to plan ahead if you’re consuming alcohol or drugs, by arranging a designated driver, using public transportation, calling a taxi, a ride share service or staying overnight.
The OPP also remind you to regularly check your drivers license to ensure it’s valid and renew it immediately if it has expired.
