This year, more than 85 local businesses have been nominated for The Kenora & District Chamber of Commerce (KDCC) 2026 Business Excellence Awards on Friday, February 6th, at Seven Generations Education Institute.
The annual event celebrates the achievements, leadership, and contributions of local business owners, managers, entrepreneurs,
and the broader Kenora business community according to the Kenora Chamber.
Interim President of the KDCC, Tim Gosnell says “The KDCC Business Excellence Awards are an opportunity to come together as a community and recognize the people and businesses that help drive our local economy forward,” he goes on to say “We are proud to celebrate the innovation, service, and leadership demonstrated across the Kenora district.”
Businesses from Wauzhushk Onigum First Nation nominated include The Reef Store and Devils Gap Marina in the Indigenous Business Award Category, as well as 101.3 The Gap in the New Business Award category.
Tickets are still available for the evening including a dinner from Seven Gens, live music by Grant Leutschaft, Comedy by Dylan Gott with Jake Goselin (Jake on the Lake) hosting the night.
